I know there are a few Dylan fans on here, what do you think of his new album? I like this song, and he seems to have found his voice again, even though sounding aged, which he is:

But also interesting is this speech which he made to Musicare, confronting his critics:

I found it surprisingly good, considering his voice is now shot (some recent live gigs I've listened to).
Lovely pared down treatment of the songs.

Liked about 3/4 of it. Nice arrangements from his regular touring & recording band (very different from the originals) and Dylan's voice more mellifluous than on recent albums. Does wander off key at times. My wife (even bigger Dylan fan than me) disliked it though.

I thought the arrangements for his small band helped a lot too.
When Sinatra sang those songs, with a big band, the effect was more like an operatic performance, which wouldn't suit Dylan's more personal style.
I'm still amazed that he found his voice again, and wonder if he's had some medical/surgical treatment.
