The English Theatre Company
are delighted to invite you to
a performance of
Under Milk Wood
by Dylan Thomas

Under Milk Wood is Dylan Thomas’s funny masterpiece about a day in the life of a quirky Welsh village. It is a beautifully written poetic ballad that pokes fun at a range of village characters such as the Reverend Eli Jenkins, twice-widowed Mrs Ogmore-Pritchard, blind Captain Cat, drunkard Cherry Owen, nosey postman Willy Nilly and the allegorically named Polly Garter, Lily Smalls and Nogood Boyo. Together their dialogue sparkles to paint a raucous vision of the bawdy, lovelorn, disgruntled, affectionate and tragedy-tinged lives of those who live in the fictional village of Llareggub.

Dates & Venues:

28th February in the Parish Church at Sainte-Dode
1st March in the Foyer Rural at Cazaux-Villecomtal
2nd March in the Salle des Fêtes at St. Arailles

The performance lasts about an hour and is followed by wine and a buffet.

Performances begin at 7pm.

Tickets:

All tickets are €7.50 (to include wine & buffet)

It may have been them, though I didn't think it was that far south, that we went to many years ago.

We took our newly aquired Roma caravan so that we didn't have to drive back and enjoyed the evening although the Ayckbourn play (can't remember which) was less enjoyable than I thought. Maybe because it wasn't a buffet but a proper meal at round tables, and was very difficult for those with their backs to the stage. :o

I am sure you will do well though, best wishes for it. :)
