I have received four e-mails from this crew all reading:

sur votre espace client du mois précédent et pour régularisez votre situation facilement , ,

Vous devez impérativement joindre le lien ci-dessous :

I don't have an Orange mobile and the e-mails are from info@bulletperf.com which I blocked then followed by mail@bulletperf.com

Googling bulletperf.com they are a Kuwaiti Exhaust Manufacturer.

I had something similar with free mobile but I just deleted it without taking much notice.

On a thread creep (sorry) I bought a Panasonic home phone with nuisance call avoidance2. Been able to block all calls from withheld numbers, this has created peace, at least for a while.

I never answer a call where i don't recognise the number or the number is withheld. Nor do I ever return a call if there is no message because I assume it can't be important.

Since ignoring unknown callers, we have very few nuisance calls these days. I can't help feeling that if you respond to a call, your number gets passed on to other nuisances.

But I still had to get out of the chair to check the phone and that bit could be just as annoying. Also the phone broke so I had to buy a new one and getting that little extra was great. :ymsmug:

There is a potential downside to ignoring all numbers you don't recognise. Quite a few delivery companies hide their numbers, because they don't want you to be able to to deal with them directly, Darty marketplace to name one.

It's a bit of a minefield. You can get good number blockers on smartphones. I use Truecaller on my Android phone to block calls I know I don't want to hear from.

Landlines are more difficult.

I do answer mobile phone numbers and have never yet had a scam. Delivery companies use their mobiles and we generally expect a call as they can never find our place ! I also answer local calls - but anything out of the area gets ignored. They can always leave a message ...
I rarely use my mobile phone and have no qualms about leaving the fixed line ringing if it's inconvenient to answer it !
