Today the chasse seem to have been banned so that people can safely go into the local woods and collect mushrooms. It's a very special mushroom, evidently, called Cèpe. I've never tried it, always ultra-cautious when it comes to mushrooms.

Try them, if you haven't eaten a cepe omelette you haven't lived.

Can't say that I've tried, although I am trying newly allowed hemp oil for the pain of gout. So far I'm not tripping.

Coconut Oil or sunflower oil for general frying, olive oil for steak ( I know it is frowned upon) rapeseed is good for colour and flavour.

I always pot roast, never in the oven and first seal meat first in olive oil and butter, then cook in red wine, beer or cyder depending on the meat. poultry in just butter then white wine.
Hemp oil has a too low flash point so will quickly burn in cooking although it's very good health wise.

It also has a strong nutty flavour. One that I'm not too fond of (or of which I am not too fond).

Poor woman. I have no sympathy for the hunter at all.
