Trying to e-mail some people in Finland we met at the ISDE this year and after an initial e-mail which went ok I have tried 5 or 6 times with the following result:

"E-mails returned and the following message,

Nous sommes desoles de vous informer que votre message n a pas
pu etre remis a un ou plusieurs de ses destinataires.
Ceci est un message automatique genere par le serveur mwinf5d19.orange.fr.
Merci de ne pas y repondre.

This is the mail system at host mwinf5d19.orange.fr.
I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients.
The mail system
<***************@netti.fi>: host netti.fi[62.142.117.206] said: 550
5.2.2 <*************@netti.fi>: Recipient address rejected: User over quota"

I have since found the following on google about mwinf5d19.orange.fr which states as an explanation:

"<*******@outlook.fr>: host outlook.fr[65.55.37.120] said: 550SC-001 (COL004-MC4F22) Unfortunately, messages from 193.252.22.214 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

Why did the first e-mail go through if it is on the block list and why did I receive theirs as well? I don't know if they have tried to contact me again. Very strange

Now found this:

550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Outlook.com for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.

May not be right for you but how many emails are you sending at the same time?
We do a info mail list to about 20 people in our commune and cant send them all at the same time as a number cannot be delivered by our server (orange) when we split them up all go out ok.

It looks like your recipient in Finland has a full mailbox and needs to delete some messages.

I suspect if you were to send from another account, say hotmail or yahoo, you would get the same results.

Well I have to thank you for your comments and hopefully niemeyjt you are correct in your assumption as I forwarded the e-mail to my daughter in the UK and she in turn forwarded it to Finland with the same response that I got and the e-mail returned. I will update the end result whenever that is as I will try again at intervals until I can manage to get through.
