Please could you write the following organisation up as a sticky - it's an incredibly good organisation who have helped us over a tricky matter. cbpinet has also used them following my recommendation - with huge success !

www.clcv.org

Their website will then show where their nearest office is.

Ta !

Triffic idea.
And I'll be happy to add a How To Complain When Your Thingy Diesn't Work + the relevant French legal stuff if wanted.

Hi,

I had a mammouth run in with EDF/ERDF that lasted the best part of a year. I was accused of a mutitude of crimes including attempting to defraud the EDF of electricity going back FIVE years!!!

The first I knew of it was a bill for nearly 3000 euros and a new meter. When I contacted EDF it turned out they had become judge, jury and executioner!!.

I asked in another place if CAB existed here. Blaze came back with the link of the century for CLCV.

I went straight to them, paid a tiny subscription and they took on the case. Despite threats of court action by EDF , the CLCV battled on and eventually won the case, after eight months.
The bill was cancelled, my name cleared and best of all a written acknowledgement and apology from EDF/ERDF. So, Blaze, you get another public thankyou from me here.
I think CLCV deserves top of the heap status of useful "stickies".

kind regards cbp

Thank you, sounds like a very useful organisation.

I went to their clickable map to find my nearest office and make a note of it but, oh-oh all I got back was a blank page. It seems citizen's advice hasn't reached the Limousin yet! :(

Thanks for the link.

It may come in useful one day, although hopefully never!

I'm trying to claim off a garage (long story) and foolishly used QueChoisir as the nearest CLCV
appears to be in Clermont Ferrand. Wish I had done the journey
