Can anybody tell me if you can send daily motion videos from a tablet to a smart TV? I'm using an IPad and with YouTube videos I press an icon on the video and get the option where to display the video, IPad, Samsung tv etc. Is it possible with daily motion? Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance.

You need a way of casting to the TV. How do you do that at the moment - physical cable, apple TV, chromecast...?

Thanks for responding Dave, i've attached three photos they are screen shots from YouTube (sorry the pictures have arranged themselves in reverse order) at the top of the THIRD picture there is an icon that is rectangular it is the first in the row, if you select this icon then it asks where you want to cast the video to as shown in the SECOND picture it gives me the option to select a samsung tv. The tablet (IPad) is on the same network as the smart tvs. Once i select the Samsung tv it plays on the samsung tv. The same happens on two other smart tvs in the house everything is on the same network. I have wifi speakers also and if i select a music video in YouTube i press the icon shown on the bottom on the FIRST picture and it offers me the option of the IPad or the WiFi speakers.
I also have one of these but dont use it for anything at the moment.

Apparently you can cast youtube and netflix directly to some Samsung smart TV's. Do you have other TV's that you can cast to? Your very big pictures imply that the the TV looks like an Airplay device to the iPad. If it is using Airplay you should just be able to slide up from the bottom of the screen and you will be prompted for a casting device, try that.

I use apple TV to do the same, it means I can cast anything from an apple device or PC to any digital TV.

I don't think you can cast Dailymotion using the setup you have, but I could be wrong.

As I said you can swipe up from the bottom of the iPad and it will give you an option to cast using airplay to a device. That means it will cast anything on your screen.

The pictures you posted are rather big so I'm struggling to make sense of them.

Thanks Dave I've installed the Apple TV and I can now cast Daily Motion from the iPad to my TV. Sorted.

I'm just not quick enough off the mark!!!!

We have a Google Chromecast which plugs into one of the HDMI sockets on our TV and allows me to do the same kind of thing from Android devices as elizag is doing from iOS to Apple TV.

I'm afraid the iPads here are in a long-forgotten drawer and the Macbook is gathering inches of dust so I can't offer much help on matters within the Applesphere.
