just wondering why French paint is thinner than that normally sold in UK. I have no problems with it, just have to avoid using roller on emulsion paint, and apply at least 2 coats.
Is it because it is actually more water, and therefore less harmful paint, and therefore possibly more eco friendly. Just a thought . Could be a good justification for using it in my eco art and crafts.
Have also noticed last lot of cheap emulsion bought here in UK is thinner than usual, so maybe we are copying the French now.

Paint is one of the things lots of people bring from the UK when driving, we've been doing it for years.
Cost of many paints is also much lower in UK (have you seen the price of Hammerite here?!)

Or try your local Lidl or Aldi - both have good quality emulsion on offer once or twice a year - and at around 12-13€ for 10 litres, much cheaper than anything worth using from a French DIY shed.

I know all about people buying paint in UK and takeing it to France, but just wondered why French paint was thinner, and as such maybe contained less harmful ingrediants.
Also noticed last tin of emulsion bought in UK ASDA on special offer was a lot thinner, so maybe cheap paint in UK is going the French way.
