I can hear water trickling from the bottom of the hot water tank through the white bulby thing and running out along the pipe. It's not just the odd drip.
Is there something I can adjust to stop it?

Under the "white bulby thing" is the electric connection and immersion heater. Turn off the power to the cylinder, undo the screw and you can take it off then you can see where the leak is, or else call in a plumber water and electrics don't mix.that is if you mean the one on the left, the right hand one with the grey pipe going out is the pressure release valve.

Timed out.
Some times it gets stuck open a bit, turning the blue knob round a few times should reseat it.

Papi's spot on

The other things that I can think of are, water pressure too high, the spring in the safety valve stuck down a bit, immersion heater set too high or stuck in the open position

The installation looks new, I would get the person who installed it back to sort out your problem

Thank you for the responses. I have tried to move the blue knob but it won't turn. It's probably all scaled up as the water is quite hard round here. I'll ring the local plumber who installed it tomorrow. Cheers.
