As we all know, photobucket did the dirty a while back and decided to lock out everyone's photos unless they paid through the nose to get them back on line. well there's a thread running on another forum I'm on and this has been posted.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... x/?src=api

I use Firefox and it has worked for me. I can see the photos I posted before. If you can see them as ell then it works fine?

However, Firefox have also been changing things recently. Beware! A whole load of my plug-ins stopped working when Firefox Quantum was rolled out.

The work round for that is Firefox ESR - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/

But only until the middle of next year.

If you don't like FF 57 (Quantum) then reinstall v56 over it, or ESR.

You can download any version you like, not just ESR, including language variants here: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

Personally I think Quantum is much too little much too late and in breaking so many extensions all it's achieved is an acceleration of the disaffection and defection was already taking place.

Their market share now stands at a lowly 10% or so whilst this time last year it was around 5% with the slack being picked up almost wholly by Chrome.

The joke called Edge stands at a pathetic ~4%

For those determined to carry on with Quantum they now offer a setting to put tabs back where they belong which is immediately above the main viewing area, this is not available by default so you need to create it yourself.

1. Go to about:config and proceed by agreeing to the risk button

2. Right click New >Boolean, enter the preference name as ‘browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs’

3. Toggle it's value to ‘true’ and you're done.

If it was that simple then why on earth they didn't put it in in the first place who knows, the lack of that specific preference was very big deal for me and one of the main reasons I went back to ESR with Classic Theme Restorer.

Still not ready for Chrome though, lets see how Quantum has progressed when ESR updates come to an end.
