We have a number of castrated male rescue llamas that are free and ready for re-homing to good homes. These llamas have been recuperating with us for almost 2 years now, are nice and healthy with no medical problems and they have, to a large extent, overcome their fear of humans but they are still a little nervous due to having been so badly mistreated in the past.

These llamas would make ideal field companions or guards for sheep, goats, donkeys etc, they will come when called and take food from a hand or from a bucket. Most of the llamas we have for re-homing will not be allowed to go individually and must have the company of at least one other llama, we do have one llama who will make an ideal field companion and is not suitable for keeping with other llamas.

Suitable new owners must be able to provide good grazing which is well fenced, animal shelter and fresh water. Those selected to take llamas will be provided with a day of education in Llama management and we will provide lifetime 24 x 7 telephone support and advice.

Llamas are intelligent animals and these guys can be touched and stroked once they get to recognise and trust you, but this will take time and patience.

Those interested in re-homing any of these llamas should contact us by either PM, email or telephone. The llamas are offered free but we want to make sure that these llamas go to the right homes and with the right people. We are happy to provide additional information and pictures if necessary.

We can deliver the llamas for the cost of fuel and tolls only.

Some information on keeping llamas can be found on our web site at http://www.borderllamas.com/faq's.htm
